The positive impact of music in the lives of our students lasts a lifetime. Every day, in classrooms and music rooms across our county, music educators dedicate themselves to reaching students with life-changing musical experiences.
March is Music in Our Schools Month and the perfect time to acknowledge and celebrate the work of our student musicians, music educators and the role of music education as an essential part of every student’s educational journey. Many thanks to the citizens of Greenbrier County for supporting music education through the school levy! #musicmatters

Held on the anniversary of legendary children’s author Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Read Across America Day seeks to inspire readers about the wonders of reading. Good literacy skills are linked to academic success across the board. Dr. Seuss said, “The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Read Across America Day takes place on March 2nd as part of National Reading Month, which takes place throughout March. #ReadAcrossAmerica
