FCA and Young life would like to welcome students back Aug 27th, 2026 from 6-8 during open house. Come meet the leaders of FCA and Younglife and join us for hotdogs, shirley temples, chips, Kan Jam, and cornhole!!!

Greenbrier County Schools is excited to host a FREE Resource Fair for families of children with special needs. This event will connect families with valuable information, services, and community resources designed to help children thrive and reach their full potential.

When: Thursday, September 24, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Participating Vendors Include: Accentra Health, CSED, Seneca Mental Health, Aetna, DRS, and many more!

This is a great opportunity to meet local service providers, learn about available supports, and connect with organizations dedicated to helping children and families succeed.

GWHS Parking Passes will be on sale during Freshmen Orientation in the cafeteria with Mr. Price. If you plan on purchasing a parking pass, you will need to bring $50 or a check made out to Greenbrier West High School, a copy of your license, registration, and insurance. An application will need to be completed as well. The application is attached.

West Virginia students entering grades 7 & 12 this fall must have their Tdap and Meningitis immunizations before school begins. Students may submit their immunization records to the school nurse on the first day of school or at the county Board of Education Office. Please don't hesitate to contact the lead school nurse at (304) 647-6470 with any questions.

Friday, June 5, is the last day of the school year for students. On this day, students will be dismissed 2 hours early to allow our teachers to participate in required faculty senates.

Snack packs will be sent home with all Greenbrier County Schools students the week of June 1.
For our virtual students, snack packs will be available for pick up at Greenbrier East High School. We will share additional details soon to coordinate a pickup time that works with the school.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to provide this support for our students and families!

West Virginia’s Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) Program This program helps eligible children access grocery benefits (via a one-time $120 payment) during the summer months, when school meals may not be available. Students may qualify automatically through programs such as SNAP, WV WORKS, qualifying Medicaid, qualifying foster care, McKinney-Vento, runaway status, or West Virginia Head Start. Other families may qualify based on household income and completion of an application.

This is a reminder that tonight starting at 6pm will be GWHS ASLs end of the year performance. They will be doing songs from the movie Aladdin. Cavalier Captures and the afterschool program will also be selling West t-shirts and Tumblers for $10. Come out and support West this evening!
