What a day for our GWHS seniors!
With coordination from Elizabeth Spangler (Greenbrier Valley Scholarship Foundation) and New River Campus visit coordinators, we had quite the day! Our Cavaliers started the day with a history lesson on the Greenbrier Military Academy and tour of the museum. Then our students headed over for some lunch at the WVSOM cafe. Students had the opportunity to speak with medical students and discussed post-secondary plans.
Next, we headed over to the New River Campus and were able to tour facilities like cosmetology, barbershop, massage therapy, and nursing. Students practiced using stethoscopes and learned about the patient simulators.
Finally, students ended the day by learning more about financial aid opportunities New River has to offer.
