I wanted to share some BIG news,
But first a little back story for those who don't know......Carnegie Hall is a Non-Profit Center for the Arts. They offer educational courses, as well as Music and performance shows and Art Galleries. It was founded by Andrew Carnegie. He was known for building community centers in locations that were beneficial to his businesses and ventures. There are only 4 in the World, and only 3 in the Country. The other locations being Pennsylvania, New York and West Virginia, and overseas in Scotland. All locations support artists and their craft. It is a HUGE privilege and honor to be displayed in one of their locations, and most artists aspire to perform, or show, their abilities and talents there.
With that being said.....I just wanted to let you know that Greenbrier West Students swept up a ton of awards last night! I am very proud of our students and their hard work! We had great attendance by our students as well, to claim their awards at the Ceremony, which makes me very proud!
In drawing, Cloe Adkins received Honorable mention, and Evelyn Clay received 3rd place.
In Mixed Media, Emma Thompson received Honorable mention, and Madison Burdette received 2nd place.
In Painting, Katelyn Vaughan received 3rd place, Gracie Thymius received 2nd place, and Abby Fedukovich received 1st place. Abby also received BEST IN SHOW!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I am EXTREMELY PROUD of our students and all their efforts in their work! They were beaming with their AWARDS on Stage! Please congratulate these students if you have them or see them! It is rewarding to be acknowledged for hard work.
