We have had a strong season of growth. Our Cross-country team has worked extremely hard through the heat, hills, and long difficult practices. This dedication showed at the Regional meet.
Jesse Walkup won the regional race, finishing with a strong kick to secure the first regional individual champion in Greenbrier West High School history. This is a milestone moment for our program and a reflection of his consistency, discipline, and competitive mindset.
Elijah Russell placed 3rd and set a new personal record of 1906, which is an outstanding achievement in his fourth year or running cross country. Dominic Mandeville placed 5th and also ran a personal record with a time of 19:59, showing significant improvement.
We are extremely proud of the effort, growth, and leadership demonstrated across our team, and we are excited to continue building on this success for the State meet.
