Dear Senior, Cap and Gown pictures will be done on Monday, May 4th. Make sure you bring your cap and gown to school with on May 4th for pictures. Order forms were sent home with senior earlier this week. If you don't have an order for see Ms. Mooney.

Snack packs will be sent home with all Greenbrier County Schools students the week of June 1.
For our virtual students, snack packs will be available for pick up at Greenbrier East High School. We will share additional details soon to coordinate a pickup time that works with the school.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to provide this support for our students and families!

West Virginia’s Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) Program This program helps eligible children access grocery benefits (via a one-time $120 payment) during the summer months, when school meals may not be available. Students may qualify automatically through programs such as SNAP, WV WORKS, qualifying Medicaid, qualifying foster care, McKinney-Vento, runaway status, or West Virginia Head Start. Other families may qualify based on household income and completion of an application.

This is a reminder that tonight starting at 6pm will be GWHS ASLs end of the year performance. They will be doing songs from the movie Aladdin. Cavalier Captures and the afterschool program will also be selling West t-shirts and Tumblers for $10. Come out and support West this evening!

Military Spirit Week is coming up soon!

We are having a week of dress up days to honor and celebrate all branches of the military from April 20 - April 24.

The dress up days are:

Monday, April 20 is Military Monday: Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, Coast Guard... wear a shirt to show your favorite branch.

Tuesday, April 21 is Crazy Camo Day: Wear your favorite camouflage clothing.

Wednesday, April 22 is Red, White,& Blue Day Wear red, white, and blue to support our military families.

Thursday, April 23 is Purple Up Day: Wear purple in honor of our military kids.

Friday, April 24 is RED Day: Wear red to remember everyone deployed.

Parent/Caregiver Survey Instructions— 2026

Below are the instructions for the 2026 West Virginia School Learning Environment Survey (WVSLES) for the parents and caregivers of students at:
Greenbrier West High School, Greenbrier (026-502).
Who should participate in the survey?
The survey should be completed by the parents and caregivers of students attending the school listed above.
Participation is voluntary. Parents/caregivers may choose not to participate; not to answer any question(s); or stop participating at any time without penalty. All responses are anonymous and confidential.

How long will the survey stay open?
The survey will be available from Monday, January 26 through Friday March 20, 2026.

How long does it typically take to complete the survey?
Approximately 10 minutes for most respondents.

How do parents/caregivers access the survey?
The survey can be completed on any computer or device with an internet connection.

Greenbrier County Schools will operate on a 3-Hour Delay schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, due to inclement weather.

School Calendar Update:

Greenbrier County Schools received a 5-day waiver from the WVDE for days missed to winter weather.

Therefore, there will be no makeup days unless there are circumstances that would warrant closing schools from now to the end of the school year.
